KIVIDEA, in collaboration with government officials, held quarterly meetings with 120 beneficiaries of the Afya Yangu, Maendeleo Yangu project from Uvinza District Council and Kigoma Ujiji Municipal Council in the Kigoma region, Tanzania.
These quarterly meetings offered beneficiaries the opportunity to share life experiences, address challenges, and receive guidance from project staff, Most Vulnerable Children Committees (MVCCs), with Mr. Edward Amos Nkanga, the Executive Officer of Uvinza Ward, advising parents on their responsibilities in supporting their children’s well-being.
Facilitators organized separate group sessions and a joint session for Most Vulnerable Children (MVCs), parents, and committees. The activities included group discussions, individual counseling, testimonies, and group games. After the meetings, the children enjoyed sports, arts, dance, and free play sessions.
