At KIVIDEA, we believe that the best solutions come from those experiencing the challenges. Our role is to empower individuals to find answers using their talents, experiences, and resources.
From August 26th to 30th, 2024, KIVIDEA Staff and Youth Delegates received training on the Solution-Focused Approach (SFA) by terre des hommes schweiz (tdhs) currently funding the Afya Yangu Maendeleo Yangu project at the KIVIDEA Youth Center.
These skills are crucial to enhancing our work, including:
– Training peer educators and club leaders in both in-school and out-of-school programs.
– Providing counseling to vulnerable children and youth, including young mothers.
– Supporting Most Vulnerable Children Committees (MVCC), school club patrons, and matrons.
– Engaging community members, leaders, gatekeepers, and stakeholders.
– Strengthening collaboration with youth-friendly health service providers and decision-makers in Kigoma-Ujiji Municipal Council.
This training reaffirms our commitment to empowering children and youth.
