Current problem: Grid interruptions disrupt computers, communication and lighting, limiting reliable use of the centre and the proposed digital classroom.
Proposed scope: The quoted concept includes 34 × 600 W monocrystalline panels (20.4 kWp), six × 5.12 kWh batteries (30.72 kWh nominal storage), 16 kW and 8 kW hybrid inverters, protection and distribution equipment, six × 100 W solar streetlights, mounting, cabling, grounding, transport, installation, testing and commissioning.
Donor value: More dependable learning, communication and lighting during outages, protecting the usefulness of other centre investments.
Budget and verification: TZS 100,232,250 (approximately CHF 29,480). This is the August 2026 brochure value, using USD 1 = TZS 2,600 and CHF 1 = TZS 3,400 for planning. An itemized quotation including VAT and contingency is available on request.
Implementation responsibilities: KIVIDEA will commission load and site checks, approve the design and budget, procure a qualified installer and oversee asset handover and maintenance planning. The installer will test, commission and document the system and train designated staff.
Reporting commitment: KIVIDEA promises a letter of acknowledgement and official tax-exempt receipt of donation, and further proposes a commissioning and expenditure report with photographs and test records, followed by an annual update on system operation and documented service interruptions.
