Who this is for
We work with vulnerable young people in Kigoma who have taken part in our on-site support and counselling and are ready to earn an income of their own.
Our approach
Working with young people
Participants learn to identify an opportunity, understand customers, estimate costs, set prices, keep records and make informed decisions. Approved tools, materials or start-up support are linked to a verified plan and followed by mentoring, so support continues beyond the first step.
Results
The difference so far
30 of the trained youth launched their own small business enterprises with KIVIDEA support.
25 of the supported enterprises were sustained beyond twelve months.
